Job Title:  Senior Bids and Credentials Executive

Reports to: Senior Business Development Manager

Responsible for: SBS bids and credentials

Purpose of the role:

The Strategic Business Services Group at Pinsent Masons comprises TMT; Commercial; IP and Data Protection practices. The Group has a market leading reputation, and is particularly widely regarded for having one of the best TMT (including disputes and problem projects) and Sourcing teams of any law firm.

This ambitious Group requires a Senior Bids and Credentials Executive to support the generation and delivery of compelling, high impact and high quality credentials and tender responses. This is an international role and will involve working with colleagues in our European, Asia Pacific and Middle East offices.

Working closely with Partners across the Group, the candidate will have responsibility for managing bids and credentials production from initiation to implementation. Ensuring a professional and polished delivery that generates revenue for the firm.

Working with the Senior BDM and in strategic partnership with the central bids team the Senior Bids and Credentials Executive will also be involved in projects to improve process and drive best practice within SBS.

Creativity, collaboration and a good sense of humour are all pre-requisites for the role.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

·         Input to bid strategy – working with the team to identify key themes and messages

·         Project manage the delivery of credentials and bids

·         Work with Senior BD Manager to generate compelling propositions and capability statements

·         Creative input to proposal documentation – ensuring the production of high quality documents

·         Coaching bid teams – on face to face pitch preparation and delivery

·         Capture, collate and analyse bid feedback from the client, reporting back to management on emerging trends. Apply insight to the bid process to ensure the continual improvement and delivery of winning documentation and presentations

·         Maintain sales pipeline and pitch library for the Group

·         Promote bids 'best practice' within the Group.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

Degree educated or equivalent level experience.

Relevant Experience:

·         Practice/relevant sector experience preferred

·         Preparing compelling value propositions and capability statements.

·         Solid experience of taking the lead in managing bids

·         Coaching presentation teams

·         Experience of a partnership environment

·         Thorough understanding and previous experience of bid management, industry best practice and lead generation.

Key Skills:

·         Acute commercial awareness

·         Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with time-critical deadlines

·         Excellent writing and creative skills

·         Motivated with good communication skills, you will have good influencing skills and coaching ability.
